From the moment a being’s life begins, every single moment of consciousness (the lifespan of a thought, which, for ease of understanding, can be approximated to one part out of 660 millionths of a second) is like a tossed coin. It spins, turning towards attachment (greed) or aversion (hatred). The final consciousness of a life, the death consciousness, is also like this. At the end, the death consciousness settles in a fortunate or unfortunate state, with a 50/50 probability. Each person’s conduct determines this. A new life begins, and the stream of consciousness continues. One must counter attachment with aversion, and aversion with attachment. This is wisdom. To see an end to this, one must do this. Then the coin will not fall on either side, but will settle in a neutral place. That is Nirvana.
සත්ත්වයා ජීවිතය පටන් ගත් දවසේ සිට සෑම චිත්තක්ෂණයක්ම ( සිතක ආයු කාලය , එය පහසුවට තත්පර වලින් ගතහොත් තත්පරයෙන් මිලියන 660 කින් පන්ගුවකි ) උඩ දැමූ කාසියක් වැනිය. ඇලීම්(ලෝභය), ගැටීම්(ද්වේෂය) මත දෙපැත්තට කරකැවෙමින් පවතී. භවයක අවසාන චුති සිතත් එවැනිය. අවසානයේ චුති සිත සුගතියක හෝ දුගතියක පිහිටයි 50%. 50% සම්භාවතාවය අනුව. එක් එක් කෙනාගේ සිලය අනුව එය තීරණය වේ. නැවත භවයක බැස ගෙන චිත්ත පරම්පරාව පවත්වාගෙන යයි. ඇලීම සමග ගැටිය යුතු අතර ගැටීම සමග ඇලීම යුතුය. එය ප්‍රඟාවයි. මෙහි අවසානයක් දැකීමටනම් එය කල යුතුමය. එවිට කාසිය දෙපැත්ත නොවටී මද්‍යස්ථ තැනක පිහිටයි. එය නිවනයි.
